The Prince family moved to the farm in 1986, bringing with us, our Kerry Blue Terriers and some knowledge of farming. We set up with a small flock of mules put to Texel & Suffolk tups. Over the next few years, cattle and pigs were introduced to the farm an in 1990 our pedigree Texel flock was started.
In 1996 we opened our Farm Shop, and in 2004 a development grant helpedus transform this small shop into a much larger concern which now employs full & part time staff from the local area.
In 2007 we started the Stonedge Beltex flock with the purchase of 6 foundation ewes. We currently farm 40 ewes and sell sheep up and down the country as well as off farm.
In 2014 we got the opportunity to expand the Farm Shop into a new building and open a brand new tea rooms seating around 40 people.
